If pauses of breathing during sleep are noticed patients with statutory insurance coverage have to go to a doctor for sleep disorders.
We generally recommend our patients to contact a pneumologist or ENT-specialist. They offer the possibility of outpatient nocturnal screening examinations and can then evaluate the urgency of an examination by a sleep medicine specialist.
According to the German guideline „Methoden der vertragsärztlichen Versorgung“ an out-patient screening finding must be on hand for patients being publicly insured to assure cost absorption for an in-patient examination in the sleep laboratory.
The patients should be registered for polysomnography at our house from their physician. A written summary of medical results must be brought.
Private patients can announce themselves. We recommend to clarifiy the coast absorption in advance.
After your registration, you will receive written confirmation about the estimated waiting time.
We are committed to keep this times to a minimum.
