Dietlinde von Mayersbach

completed in 1968 her education as Laboratory Technician at the Medical School of Hannover. The practical appreciation she obtained at the Institute of Anatomy, Medical School of Hannover.


Since November 1968 she is working at the Department of Microscopic Anatomy, interrupted in 1971 for a half-year stay at the University of Montréal.


The main fields of activity comprise the following topics:

  • Chronobiological research in man and rodents (Biochemistry, Enzyme Histochemistry and Electron Microscopy)
  • Functional morphology of endocrine cells in the epithelium of stomach and intestine and in the islets of Langerhans of the pancreas (Immunohistochemical and electron-microscopical investigations under orthologic, pathologic and experimental cinditions)
  • Neuroendocrinologic research in rats and gerbils (Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Immuno-Gold-Techniques)
  • Proteinbiochemistry (SDS-gel electrophoreses, Western-blotting, in-situ-hybridization)
