Access to e-resources outside the MHH Campus

    Access to licensed library e-resources is possible only within the MHH campus.

    Employees and students are permitted access to library e-resources outside the MHH campus.

    For legal reasons access to licensed library e-resources is permissible only for those members of the above-mentioned groups.

    Guidelines for access outside the MHH campus

    Choose one of the following portals from the quick links of the library homepage.


    Catalogue MHH library

    Special data bases of medicine

    Data bases overview (DBIS)

    Electronic journals (EZB)


    On selection of an e-resource from the portals a login page will appear. Enter your library identity card number or the number on the rear side of your student's identity card together with your password onto the login page.

    On acceptance of registration access to website of the selected e-resources will be forwarded.


    A one-time only registration is necessary per each internet session. However, you will be required to login again following break of longer than 20 minutes.

    Registration not successfull: frequent reasons are

    • User Account and Password are not correct.


      Please verify the number of your Library-ID-Card and your Password, also the validity of your  Library-ID-Card . The validity is set in your user account under the tab "user-data".

    • The Login-Site was called directly without selecting an electronic resource


      Please don't set a bookmark on the Login-Site. A login is only possible when you select an electronic-resource on the following portals,

      Special Database of Medicine

      Databases Information System

      Electronic Journals

    • You are not member of the MHH.


      On legal grounds only the employees and students of the MHH are authorized to have access to the e-resources outside the campus.
