Nataliia Nizhegorodtseva, employee of the Hannover Unified Biobank in the field of data and quality management, was honored by the German Association for Documentation and Information Management in Medicine (DVMD). Her thesis "Evaluation of demographic and clinical parameters in the mortality analysis in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis" awarded the first place of the Junior Prize 2017. The work was carried out in the Clinic for Pneumology and was supervised by Prof. Dr. Antje Prasse. Nataliia Nizhegorodtseva has successfully completed the bachelor program Medical Information Management at Hannover University of Applied Sciences. Since 2017, she has worked as a data manager in the Hannover Unified Biobank. The award is linked to a further education of the Forum Institute for Management GmbH.
