HUB will talk about modern biobanking at the HZI Springschool in March 2018

The HZI Spring School "From Lab to Tables" will take place on 16.-20.05.2018 at the Helmholtz Institute (HZI) in Braunschweig.
The Hannover Unified Biobank (HUB) will be reporting on modern bobanking, quality management, bio sample collection and processing at the event.

This lab training, aimed at epidemiologists, public health specialists and clinicians interested in infectious disease field research, aims e.g. to provide hands-on insight into the collection and processing of bioprobes in epidemiological studies.

Important questions in this field to answer are:

  • Which biomarkers can be analyzed and how?
  • What are stabilization and storage conditions for different samples?
  • How do you ensure the safe transport of your organic samples?

The course provides a combination of introductory laboratory work in the field of infectious diseases and practical experience with diagnostic methods to detect and classify pathogens.
