European Biomedical Reference Cell Collection

The EBRCC is a collection of reference cells based on the Epstein Barr Virus transformation of B-lymphocytes providing a valuable and permanent source for quality control of molecular diagnostics.

Many of these cell lines have been extensively profiled for HLA markers.

The collection provides a wide range of many rare and recently discovered HLA-alleles in addition to a large number of frequent alleles.

The European Biomedical Reference Cell Collection was set up as a section of the Institute for Transfusion Medicine.

Sample collection:

3000 BLCL (HLA typed) (stored -196°C)

250 DNA derived from BLCL (stored -20°C)
