The scientific focus of the Division of Immunodermatology and Allergy Research is laid on the investigation on allergic diseases with manifestations in the skin, on chronic inflammatory skin diseases and on autoimmune diseases of the skin. Immunological mechanisms in eczematous skin diseases (atopic dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis) and in psoriasis are currently studied. The research division was founded in April 2008 within the Department of Dermatology and Allergy. Its projects are connected to other projects within the Department including clinical studies.
