severe congenital neutropenia, cyclic neutropenia, leukemogenesis
Congenital neutropenias are a group of rare diseases of myelopoiesis leading to reduced numbers of neutrophil granulocytes in peripheral blood. Affected patients are prone to bacterial infections. Our research is focused on (1) the analysis of the genetic causes underlying severe congenital neutropenia and cyclic neutropenia, and (2) on development of myeloid malignancies in patients with severe congenital neutropenia.
