BMEP

The IALS is a place people come to for education, training and research in key issues within the life sciences. As an international membership organization, the IALS provides a compass across the life sciences, law, management and technology through innovative integration of these disciplines. The IALS believes in the need for intercultural and bioethical sensitivity and reflection.

Building on the very successful 30 years history in the area of education (BMEP-Biomedical Sciences Exchange-Program) and cutting edge initiatives and projects on emerging critical issues (s. summarized under BMNE-Biomedical Network of IALS) we a currently focusing on:

·        Education and Training – Advanced Students and Young Scientists

·        International Network of Experts – Critical Issues in the Life Sciences

Building on  its mission and on its network “BMEP” implemented the ”IALS – International Academy of the Life Sciences University Network as an Interdisciplinary Think-Tank” in 2006 with the full members:

·        Medizinische Hochschule, Hannover

·        Deutsches Herzzentrum Berlin, Berlin

·        Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Berlin

·        HDZ-NRW-Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Bad Oeynhausen

·        University of Illinois (IGPA), Urbana-Champaign
