Beginning of a cooperation between the institute of sociology at the Leibniz University Hannover and the project "Burdens of Parents of Children with Congenital Heart Disease" at the Medical Sociology. A seminar will be carried out in cooperation with Dipl. Sozialwiss. Torsten Koch. During this workshop the fathers of the children will be interviewed.

The DFG approves the project "Effort-Reward Imbalance at household and family work" carried out by the Medical Sociology.

Anja Löbel wins the poster award offered by the NDGKJ. The presentation is on  "The Knowledge of Mothers about their Child's Heart Disease". (german)

The project ‘life chances’ begins. The third survey of the project ‘course of breast cancer’ begins (follow up after seven years).

The DFG approves the continuation of the interdisciplinary project ‘lifechances’ carried out by the Medical Sociology and the Department of Paediatric Cardiology and Paediatric Intensive Care. It has the title “How do parents of children with congenital heart disease deal with their children’s disease?”. It is going to start in 2008 and will have duration of four years.
