The title of her master thesis was "Examination of potential protein interaction partners of the proposed energy taxis-mediating chemoreceptor TlpD of Helicobacter pylori". The title of her project is "Characterization of mechanisms mediating energy taxis of Helicobacter species". Her principal supervisor is Christine Josenhans.

Andrea Blanka, graduated biochemist
Andrea Blanka was born in Nauen in 1984. She studied biochemistry in Greifswald and completed her studies in Prof. Michael Hecker's laboratory with the diploma thesis "Development of MS based methods for the analysis of proteins of Gram-positive bacteria focused on phosphorylated proteins". The title of her PhD project is "Impact of environmental and bacterial signals on the establishment and recalcitrance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms". Her principal supervisor is Susanne Häußler.

Luisa Denkel, graduated biologist
Luisa Denkel was born in Herzberg/Elster in 1985. She studied biology in Dresden and completed her studies in Prof. Barth's lab with the diploma thesis "Establishment of a method to inactivate genes by means of antisense-RNA in Yarrowia lipolytica". Anne Frentzen, M.Sc.
Anne Frentzen was born in Engelskirchen in 1984. She studied biomedicine and molecular biology at the University of Applied Sciences Bonn-Rhein-Sieg and at the University of Aberdeen (Scotland) and completed her studies with the MSc in Biomedicine in Prof. Pietschmann's lab at the Twincore. The title of her thesis is “Analysis of dominant restrictions and RNA packaging factors in Hepatitis C Virus assembly”. She already had the chance to work at the Karolinska-Institute for three months and she continues to work with Thomas Pietschmann's group. The title of her project is "In vivo and in vitro correlates of hepatitis C virus replication".
